An argument between two women neighbors early Thursday evening led to an attempted murder charge after one of the combatants ran over the other at least two times with her vehicle, according to authorities.

The fight – described as a long-standing beef – reportedly began on Genoa Drive and ended up some two blocks away in the 1300 block of Primavera Avenue in west Manteca.  Witnesses said there were numerous police cars and other emergency vehicles responding to the area and yellow crime scene tape was strung around the area of the incident.

A medical helicopter dispatched to the neighborhood landed nearby to transport the injured woman to a trauma center, reportedly suffering from a broken pelvis.

Police were unable to provide any information to the media Friday evening some 24 hours after the incident occurred.  The Bulletin was told that a press release might be available sometime Monday.

The condition of the injured woman was also unavailable or to what hospital she was taken for treatment.

On Friday night the Sheriff’s jail booking log showed a Manteca woman, Jamilah Dubose, 34, had been incarcerated by Manteca officers shortly before midnight Thursday on an attempted murder charge. She is being held without bail. The suspect is scheduled to be in court Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Manteca.
