Marjorie E. Ekstrom, 87, of  the Manteca and Lathrop areas for over 80 years, entered into rest on Dec. 26, in Lathrop.
Mrs. Ekstrom was born on July 3, 1921 in Armona, Calif. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bishop and Mitilda Becknell. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur Ekstrom.

Marjorie is survived by her loving son Robert Ekstrom and wife Carol. She was blessed by two grandchildren Jeff Ekstrom of Modesto and Jami Ekstrom of Bakersfield; and great-grandchildren Mickela Castro of Bakersfield, Alan Ekstrom of Modesto and Brook Ekstrom of Modesto.

Mrs. Ekstrom enjoyed cooking and loved her roses. She was a very independent woman, who was known as the neighborhood grandmother. She had a very special love for animals and found serenity when spending time with her cats. Most of all Marjorie found true enjoyment by spending quality time with her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Services for Mrs. Ekstrom are being held under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. All service are being held privately.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the SPCA or Pets and Pals.
