• VEHICLE PURSUIT/DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On Friday, May 25, Manteca Police Officer Hooten initiated a traffic stop for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of East Yosemite Avenue and Commerce Avenue. The vehicle failed to yield and continued eastbound on East Yosemite Avenue and then merged onto southbound Highway 99. The vehicle maintained a speed of approximately 50 miles per hour as it continued southbound and then merged onto the westbound Highway120 Bypass. The vehicle yielded shortly after entering onto Highway 120. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted. The driver, Kenneth Wagner, was the sole occupant. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and evading a police officer.

• ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
: On  Sunday, May 27, officers responded to the 900 block of East Yosemite Avenue, The Rusty Hook, on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, Justin Perez-Uecker was found with three slashing-type wounds – one to his abdomen and one to each forearm. Perez-Uecker was transported to Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto, where he was listed in stable condition. The owner of the bar and one of the bouncers identified the suspect as Elliot Leiberger. The investigation revealed Leiberger was involved in a physical fight with another person.

Leiberger began swinging his arms and at some point must have produced a knife. It appears Perez-Uecker was hit at random as Leiberger was swinging the knife. Police are attempting to contact Lieberger. Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Rangel at mrangel@ci.manteca.ca.us.

• Armed Robbery: On Sunday, May 27, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Lifestyle Way to Crush Frozen Yogurt in The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley, for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The suspect was described as a white male adult, 45-55 years old, thin build and light-colored or gray beard. He was wearing a red or a red and orange striped shirt and blue jeans, and armed with a black revolver.

The suspect pointed the revolver at the clerk and demanded the cash from the register. After being given the money, he fled in a westerly direction. No vehicles were observed. There were a total of four witnesses in the business at the time of the robbery. A check of the surrounding businesses was conducted for surveillance footage.

• Robbery
: On Monday, May 28, four juveniles walking eastbound on the 500 block East Center Street were confronted by a male on a mountain bike asking for a light for a cigarette. The male suspect rode away, but within a few minutes, confronted the same four juveniles on Pine Street near Fremont Street. The suspect was armed with a black pistol and demanded cell phones and wallets.
