Both Zach Gase and Zac Carrillo helped out the ball club with clutch doubles, helping the Ripon Senior Babe Ruth team pound Modesto Christian 12-0 Monday.

Gase was 2 for 3 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI, while Carrillo finished the blowout 2 for 4 and handled the bulk of the pitching. Carrillo went five solid, holding Modesto Christian to two hits and striking out nine in the shutout. Jacob Guinn came on in relief, tossing a scoreless sixth and seventh and striking out two.

Brandon Landwhere was 1 for 2 with a double, sacrifice fly and two RBI.

Ripon got going early, with Gase and Elijah English (1 for 2, 2 RBI) collecting back-to-back bases loaded doubles in the second inning to break things wide open. The victory pushed Ripon’s season record to 8-2.
