Tolman shatters own team record in 50 breaststroke

Scott Tolman outdid himself in a Mid-Valley Swim League dual meet at Turlock High Saturday.

The Manteca Dolphin broke his own team record in the 13-14-year-old boys 50-yard breaststroke in 30.40 seconds. His previous mark stood at 30.48.

Tolman went on to win three individual events in the 1,221-604 defeat to the host Hughson Sea Dogs. His other wins were in the 100 individual medley and 50 freestyle.

Also winning three events were Mia Lopez and Ashlea Green. Lopez claimed the 50 free, 25 butterfly and 25 breast the girls 6-under division. Green took first in the girls 11-12 100 IM, 50 free and 50 backstroke.

Double winners included Kelly Ball (100 IM, 50 fly) in girls 9-10, Mallory Brubaker (100 free, 50 fly) in girls 11-12, Austin Welch (100 free, 50 back) in boys 13-14 and Lane Fishburn (50 fly, 50 free) in girls 13-14.

Contributing first-place points were Julissa Aguilar (girls 6-under, 25 free), Delaney Brubaker (girls 7-8, 25 fly), Ashlynn See (girls 7-8, 25 back), Hayden Beier (boys 7-8, 25 back), Ian Noriega (boys 9-10, 50 breast) and Vanessa Flores (girls 13-14, 100 free).
