JACKSON  – The all new Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is celebrating the opening of new restaurants and new gaming areas with a summer series of great concerts including country star Sara Evans on Sunday, July 1.

The show is at 7:30 p.m. in the outdoor event area at the Hotel. You must be 21 to attend. Food and beverages will be available.

Tickets start at $20 for Dreamcatcher’s Club members and are on sale now at and at the Casino Cage.

This show is part of the big Rockin’ Blues & Country Weekend that also features the Blues Balls of Fire (Foghat, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Canned Heat) on Saturday, June 30. Purchase general admission tickets starting May 1 for both shows and save $10 (available only at the Casino Cage).

Before or after the show check out the new Rancheria Buffet and Lone Wolf Restaurant & Lounge in the Casino.

While Evans has been busy touring and writing books, she took a long break from recording. Now, six years after her last studio album, she’s back with “Stronger,” filled with the kind of gutsy explorations on life and love that have made her one of the most compelling female vocalists of her generation.

Her many hits include “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “I Keep Looking,” “Perfect,” “No Place That Far” and “A Real Fine Place to Start.”

Away from the spotlight, much has happened to Evans since her last studio record. She weathered a high profile divorce, yet focused on her three children, took time to heal and found love again with football-star-turned-sportscaster Jay Barker. They married, and Evans moved from Nashville to Birmingham, Alabama, devoting the last few years to happily focusing on home and their blended family of seven children.

“I cannot believe it’s been six years,” she says of her self-imposed hiatus. “In so many ways, I feel like I’m just beginning. I really and truly do. I feel like I’m just starting my life, my career, and there’s nothing that I can’t do. I’m definitely more confident now than I’ve ever been in my life.”

“Stronger” is just the latest jewel in an already stellar career. The Missouri, native has come a long way from singing with her family’s band as a child. She has garnered numerous accolades including the Academy of Country Music’s Top Female Vocalist honor, the Country Music Association’s Video of the Year prize for “Born to Fly,” and she’s been named one of People magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People.
