The term “blue eyed soul” was coined for the raw emotional R&B sound of The Righteous Brothers. Bill Medley’s deep, rich, powerful baritone and Bobby Hatfield’s forceful tenor created a totally original sound resulting in hits like “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling,” “You’re My Soul and Inspiration,” “Just Once in My Life,” and “Ebb Tide.”

“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” is estimated to have had more TV and radio airplay than any other song in history.

The duo performed for some 40 years, with Medley going solo a few times, then getting back together in the 1970s with more hits including “Rock and Roll Heaven.”

In 1987 Medley scored a  monumental hit in a duo with Jennifer Warnes on “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” for the film “Dirty Dancing.” The song earned an Oscar, a Golden Globe, Video of the Year, and a Grammy.

The duo was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, just shortly before Hatfield’s unexpected death.

Bill Medley continues on as a solo artist, whose latest album, “Damn Near Righteous,” pays tribute to a number of his mentors and peers, including Ray Charles, and includes performances with Brian Wilson, and Phil Everly.

Paul Revere & the Raiders had 23 consecutive hit singles in the 1960s, including “Louie Louie, ” “Steppin’ Out,” “Kicks,” “Just Like Me.” And “Hungry.”

Paul is one of the mad men of rock and roll. The magic chemistry of his personality has always been the force behind the Raiders’ success. He’s been described as the last of the classic rock pianists and a true comic character and showman. He has created a highly polished act built on warmth and spontaneity.

The group currently consists of Revere, Doug Heath (the group’s lead guitarist for over 35 years), Ron Foos (bassist for over 35 years), Danny Krause (keyboardist for over 28 years), Darren Dowler (lead vocalist and Vocal Group Hall of Fame inductee) and Tommy Scheckel (drummer and newest member).
