The Manteca Rangers outscored opponents 19-1 to capture the Nevada Zephyr Cup’s under-13 girls championship last weekend in Reno.
The lone goal surrendered was a penalty kick in the team’s 3-1 final-round victory over the Sagebrush SC Chili Peppers.
Pool play opponents didn’t come as close.
Manteca opened with 5-0 wins over the Solano Predators and Nevada Elite on Saturday, June 23. On Sunday morning, the Rangers blew out the Spanish Springs Lady Jaguars, 6-0.
