STOCKTON— San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors appointed Leroy Ornellas as its chairman Monday.
Fourth District representative Ken Vogel stepped down as Chairman of the Board.  “It’s been an honor to serve as Chair this past year.
 “I feel proud of the accomplishments of the Board and look forward to the leadership of Supervisor Ornellas and working with our new Board members,” Vogel said.”
“This will be a year full of decisions,” said newly elected Chairman Ornellas.  “The five of us working together, along with County staff will weather this economic storm and come out of the other side stronger and ready for the next upward cycle.”
Chairman Ornellas will lead his first board meeting today beginning at 9 a.m.
