William C. Cook, 85, entered into rest on June 24, 2012 in Manteca.  He was born on November 21, 1926 in Tuckerman, AR to the late Bill and Lola Cook.  Also preceding him in death are brothers, John Cook, Melvin Cook, Frank Cook and Dale Cook.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Imogene Cook of Manteca, three children, Jerry Cook (Belinda) of Kingman, AZ, Allen Cook (Marjorie) of Pleasanton, CA and Roger Cook (Rebecca) of Manteca, CA. He was blessed with six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by three siblings, Mary Cagle of Lepanto, AR, Betty Jones of Lake Horn, MS, and Bud Cook of Gravite, AR.

Bill was a resident of Manteca for 48 years.  He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in World War II. He retired from Safeway as a manager.    Bill loved baseball, reading the sports section in the newspaper and telling stories.  He loved working with his hands, woodworking and tending to his fruit trees. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for William C. Cook have been entrusted to PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.  A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27, 1pm to 5pm at PL Fry & Son.  A Chapel service has been arranged for Thursday, June 28, 1pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home.  Final resting place will be Park View Cemetery, 3661 E.
