• FIRE, ST. CYR COURT, SUNDAY, JUNE 24: Manteca Firefighters were dispatched to an outdoor fire on St. Cyr Court on Sunday evening. Upon arrival, they found an underground electrical vault with flames shooting out of it approximately 5-6 feet high. Firefighters used dry chemical extinguishers to contain the fire. Once the fire had been extinguished, firefighters secured the area from the public until PG&E arrived on scene.
• ARCING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT – LOCUST AVENUE, SUNDAY, JUNE 24: Firefighters responded to the report of arcing electrical equipment on Locust Avenue late Sunday evening. Upon arrival, they found that the safety fuses on top of a power pole had been activated. The activated fuses were a direct result of the underground utility box fire on St. Cyr Court. Firefighters secured the area around the pole until PG&E arrived on scene.
• FIRE, NORMAN DRIVE, TUESDAY, JUNE 26: Firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Norman Drive at South Powers late Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle in the intersection with a fully involved engine compartment fire. Firefighters pulled an attack line and forced access into the engine compartment to extinguish the fire.
• GAS LEAK, BUENA VISTA DRIVE, TUESDAY, JUNE 26: Firefighters responded to the report of a natural gas leak on Buena Vista Drive on Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival they found that a construction worker had hit the PG&E residential natural gas supply line with a post hole digger while erecting a fence. The high pressure line had been punctured near the gas meter. Firefighters evacuated the residence and notified nearby neighbors. The scene was secured until PG & E arrived on scene.
