In the final game to decide the District 1 Championship, the Ripon 9-10 year-old All-Star team outlasted the Tracy All-Star team in extra innings, to advance to the Central California Cal Ripken State Tournament.

Ripon put together a total team effort, pulling out a pair of victories in the finale to advance to the state tourney. The club is the first Ripon Babe Ruth club to advance to the State Tournament after winning the district title at the Ripon Community Center.

The tournament is broken up into three pools (Cal Sr., Cal Jr., Billy) with Ripon landing in the Cal Sr. Pool alongside Visalia, Firebaugh, Bullard and Hanford. Ripon will open the tournament with a 7 p.m. contest against tournament host Visalia.
