Ticket sales for the Aug. 4 event featuring Lindsey Pavao live in concert at the Main Street Café in Manteca are hotter than the muffins coming out of the restaurant’s oven.

Jakkie Arellano, owner of the venue for the first concert in Manteca by the Sierra High School graduate following her electrifying appearance on NBC’s The Voice, said Wednesday they are selling tickets by the hour. That’s barely a day since she posted the concert announcement on the café’s facebook page. On Wednesday alone, they already sold 25 of the 65 tickets available.

“We’re limiting it to 65 guests” for space reasons, Arellano said about the reason behind the number of tickets being sold.

“It’s first come, first served,” she said.

The proceeds are not going into her restaurant’s coffers. The money is “to help her get her first CD recording done,” said Arellano who hinted that if this first concert is sold out, they may have another one in the future if they could work it around the singer sensation’s schedule.

“Lindsey has a tight schedule right now,” Arellano said of Pavao’s concert appearances.

She was able to snag that one night concert here in Manteca because the singer’s parents, Debbie and Earl Pavao, are long-time friends and have been regular customers at the restaurant. They also got to know one another through an adoption agency program that they were all involved in.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will begin with a performance by a “special guest to be announced.”

“We’re not doing food that night so that we’ll be able to enjoy the night, too,” Arellano said. However, there will be drinks and desserts that guests will be able to purchase at the restaurant.

“We’re excited,” she said about the upcoming concert by Lindsey Pavao.

Tickets for the concert are available at the Main Street Café, 1464 West Yosemite Avenue which is across the street from the Marketplace shopping center.

You can also reserve your ticket by calling the restaurant at (209) 825-2242. Business hours at the restaurant are Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 2008 Sierra High graduate who attended Nile Garden Elementary School was working as a bartender in Nicolaus when she took the world by storm with her initial appearance on The Voice. Her own unique interpretation of Trey Songz’ “Say Aah” received millions of hits with many of those fans even preferring her version over that of the performing artist. Her natural ability was immediately apparent to The Voice’s coaches after that initial televised performance.

The indie-rock, guitar-playing singer is also a composer and counts among her biggest influences performing artists Fiona Apple, Bjork, and The Foo Fighters. She made it to the finals of The Voice and was in Christina Aguilera’s team.
