Rachel Alves and Matthew Alves, of Sacramento, were married in a double ring ceremony on April 14, 2012 at Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in Sacramento.

The bride is the daughter of John and Patti Hutton of Ripon and is the granddaughter of John Hutton of San Jose; and Phillip Taormino of San Jose.

The groom is the son of John and Claudette Alves of Manteca and the grandson of Deolinda Alves of Patterson.

The bride was given away by her father, John Hutton. The ceremony was officiated by Jeremy Donati.

Her maid of honor was Sara Gomez of Patterson and bridesmaids were Ashley Amador of Patterson, Krista Hall and Jasmine Hassanzadeh of Sacramento, and Jennifer Molina of San Bruno.

The best men were Larry Taylor and Erik Alves of Manteca and groomsmen were Matt Toepel of Sacramento, Ryan Boland and Dan Boland of San Francisco and ushers were Johnny Hutton of Ripon, Christopher Gomez and Brandon Lima of Patterson and Ryan Hall of Sacramento.

The ring bearers were Brady and Ryan Alves of Manteca and Kaleb Gomez of Patterson. The photographer was Briggs Photography.

A reception for 150 guests was held at the Tsakopooulos Library Galleria.  The couple honeymooned in San Francisco and Half Moon Bay.

Rachel graduated from Patterson High School and received her BA degree from Sacramento State University. She is a preschool teacher. Matthew graduated from Manteca High School and received his BA degree from San Francisco State University. He is now employed at Verizon Wireless.
