A very beloved lady died on August 4th, 2012. Audrey Woodard spent her life helping her family and friends with thoughtful acts of kindness and diligent ceaseless labors of love.

Audrey was born in French Camp on August 14th, 1928 to Mary and Tony Luize. She was the youngest of 11 siblings, and spent most of her life in the Manteca, French Camp, Stockton area. She was married to Sheldon Woodard for 65 years who pre-deceased her. She was married now to Herb Gardner and they lived in Wilton, CA.

  Many people knew and enjoyed Audrey through her Food Service work for the Haggin Museum, the Blind Center, Crab Feeds, ALSSOA and many other groups in town.

  No job was too difficult for this industrious lady.  She sincerely loved to be needed and enjoyed making others happy.  She was an amazing chef and always wanted to

share the delicious products from her own kitchen.  She also loved gardening and

working in the yard. Audrey loved people and all who knew her loved her.

She was dedicated to her family, which includes sons Dale (Karla), and Walt  (Darlene) Woodard.

Grandchildren are Kim (Jim) Schafer, Karrie (Kit) Jones, and Travis, (Rachel) Woodard. Great grandchildren, Kaylee, Josh Jones,  CT (Emma) Chris, Katie, Kellie McWhorter.  She also had multiple nieces and nephews.

  Included in her family were several "adopted daughters", Shonna Beam, Yvonne Wooster, Stephanie Reynolds,  Paula Peterson and Lea Keachie.  Her step children Missie, Linda, Steve, Dan Gardner.

   A special thanks to the people that helped us in many different ways, Diana DeAlberts, Mary Johnson, Colleen Flagg, Teresa Hebabrand, Rochelle and Bill Stewart, Sally Adney, Merrel and Maggie Bishop, Fran Meredith, Joan Greaves,  Jeanie and Castle,  and many others. she loved you all.

     A living celebration of life party was held before she died, so there will be no

further memorial service.

     Even in death, Audrey was a giving person, donating her body to UC Davis as a contribution to science and further medical study.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Audrey's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105  or a charity of your choice.
