Manteca Ford is proud to announce their next Community Charity Sales Event, this time benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank in Manteca. This event is scheduled for Aug. 31 thru Sept. 9.

As always, there are great deals and fair prices on all the dealership’s cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. One lucky customer will win a brand-new, completely redesigned 2013 Ford Escape. There is no purchase necessary, and chances to win have already been mailed out to 25,000 area residents. Other great prizes include an Apple iPhone 4S, an iPad, a quartz watch, a 3D flatscreen TV, and California State lottery scratch tickets. Winners must be 18 or older.

Partial proceeds from the Community Charity Sales Event will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Second Harvest Food Bank currently serves over 325,000 people throughout seven counties including San Joaquin and Stanislaus. Through a collaboration with approximately 190 non-profit agencies, Second Harvest is able to distribute over 12 million pounds of supplemental groceries to families and individuals in need.

Second Harvest Food Bank strives to provide nutritional essentials, including protein and fresh produce, and is committed to providing an efficient, cost-effective system for collecting and distributing food in the Central Valley.

Second Harvest’s Food 4 Thought program provides supplemental groceries to over 3,800 children at 40 sites throughout San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties. Students who participate in 8 hours of an academic-based after school program receive a 15-18 pound bag of food twice a month. The bag contains nutritional staples for growing kids, such as whole grains, protein, and fresh produce.

Phil Waterford is looking forward to the event, saying, “I am so excited to collaborate with such a great organization that helps our community. I know that God controls the universe and as long as your dream is tied to helping someone else there is NO LIMIT to what God will do. Ultimately my dreams are to make Manteca a better place and make a positive difference in our community!”
