Martinez’s hat trick sparks Fury’s drubbing of Stockton

Joanna Martinez scored a hat trick for the Fury last Saturday in Manteca Area Youth Soccer’s under-19 girls division.

In the process, the Fury blanked Stockton (Javier), 7-0.

Anna Arriola and Martinez scored first-half goals to give the Fury a 2-0 advantage. In second half, Martinez, Arriola, Ashna Singh, and Ashley Freeman added to the lead.

Ashley Tarango, Carla Ochoa, and Adrianna Hernandez each had an assist.

From there, Georgia Arriola, Clarissa Medrano, Carly Thissen, and Kristina Valdez played a strong defensive line while Freeman kept Stockton in check at goalie. She had two saves.

Anna Arriola also played some goalie late in the game, coming up with a save.

Under-10 boys

Tigers 6, Extreme Rage 1

The Tigers were a tough match for the Extreme Rage on this day.

They led 1-0 in the first half before exploding for four goals.

The Extreme Rage finally broke through when Michael Arriola took a corner kick from Devin Cisneroz, firing it into the net.

Joshua Bolton had four saves for the Extreme Rage, playing goalie in the first half. Logan Richardson tallied 15 saves as the second-half goal keeper.

In addition, Harevir Braich blocked a shot on goal in the losing cause while Cody Cronin was recognized for his all-out hustle.

Under-14 boys

Revolution 5, Wolves 2

Rafael Hurtado scored four goals to lead the Revolution to victory.

He was helped out by Arturo Galvan, Isaiah Flores and Zachary Duran. They were each credited with an assist.

Cody Niford netted the other goal, with Garrett Cross getting the assist.

Rafael Chacon, Kyle Dorland, Ulises Leos and Grant Silva provided strong midfield support. Jeremy Hopkins, Ashur Kanja, Alex Stearns, and Gabriel Ortega also held the Wolves in check with their second-half defense.

Zachary Duran played goalie in the first half with Daniel Silva handling the position in the second half.
