It’s going to be an opportunity to chat openly with Manteca’s police chief Saturday morning at Johnny’s Restaurant in the 600 block of East Yosemite Avenue.

Chief Dave Bricker is planning to be there at 8:30 wanting to hear what’s on people’s minds, whether it’s good or bad.

“People always have something they want to talk about but they’re not going to come to the P.D.,” Bricker said.
The chief said of his restaurant chat series, “They’re already going to be here – we’re just coming to them.”

The opportunity to talk with the police chief is scheduled for the first Saturday of the month and will be held at different restaurants in the community.  The two-hour long event is scheduled to end at 10:30 a.m.
