The Manteca and Spreckels Park 9-10 year-old all stars both picked up wins Tuesday evening at Brock Elliott School to move along in the consolation bracket of the District 67 All-Star Tournament.

Spreckels Park sent home the Tracy American B all-stars with a 5-3 win, while Manteca outlasted Weston Ranch, 12-10.

Manteca and Spreckels will square off this evening at 5:30 p.m.
Jaden Pina (4 K) tossed four innings of three-run ball for Spreckels Park to pick up the win, while Scott Teicheira struck out a pair in picking up the save.

Tracy took a 3-1 lead into the fourth before Spreckels racked up a pair in both the fourth and fifth to complete the come-from-behind victory.

Steve Rios went 2 for 2, scored Spreckels’ first run in the third and swiped a pair of bags for the home squad, while Jeremy Parente scored a run and stole two more bases.

Jesse Babauta went 1 for 1, Josh LeLaurin scored a run, and Jonathan Shaefer went 2 for 3, scored a run and stole two bags.

Tyler Fitch had a productive day as well, going 1 for 2.

With the score knotted at four heading into the third on Field 2, Manteca broke its contest with Weston Ranch open with a seven-run outpouring to take a commanding lead.

But Weston Ranch refused to go away quietly, scoring two in the third and four in the fourth.

Jake Peterson was able to shut the door from there, however, to seal the win for Manteca starter Jake Menasco.

Josh Salsbury got the start for Weston Ranch and Derek Moorad closed it out.

Leading the way at the dish for Manteca was birthday boy Tyler Graves-Kelso, who had a double, a triple and three runs batted in.

Jonathan Murillo turned in a double, a single, a walk and plated two runs, while Trevor Crippen reached with a single and a walk in two at-bats.

Josh Dilg led Weston Ranch with a single and three runs scored, while Rediel Bradford had a sacrifice bunt, a walk and a single.

Manteca and Spreckels Park will meet today on Field 1.
