Manteca High showed well in the first day of the California Girls Tennis Classic in Clovis, winning two of its three matches.

There ended up being a three-way tie for first place in its pool, but Manteca ended up in second place based on the sets-won tiebreaker.

The Buffaloes opened with a 2-4 loss to Clovis West. Rosa Zou (6-2, 7-5) and Noha Elabed (6-2, 7-5) picked up the Buffaloes’ lone points.
