Todd’s late goal lifts Extreme Rage past Vipers

The Extreme Rage edged the Vipers 4-3 in the Manteca Area Youth Soccer under-10 boys’ division action last Saturday.

 Zachary Todd scored twice in the second half, including the one that proved to be the game-winner assisted by Logan Richardson, who also had a second-half goal.

Michael Arriola accounted for the Rage’s lone first-half score. The game was knotted at 1-1 at the half.

Defensively, first-half goalie Joshua Bolton had three saves and Joshua Valdez closed out with 11 saves in the winning effort. Marques Sy also earned recognition for his hustle on defense.

Under-14 boys

Revolution 3, Wolves 2

Goals by Rafael Hurtado and Arturo Galvan led the Revolution past the Wolves in the second game of a double header.

Galvan and Isaiah Flores had goal each in the earlier game. Kyle Dorland chipped in with a header off a corner kick.

Against the Wolves, Flores along with Ulises Leos provided strong support at forward. Dorland, Ashur Kanja, Cody Niford, Grant Silva and Jeremy Hawkins did likewise at midfield.

The defense was sparked by Galvan, Alex Stearns, Gabriel Ortega, Garrett Ross and Anthony Ramirez.

Zachary Duran and Daniel Silva shared the goal-keep duties for the Revolution.

Under-19 girls

Stockton (Neil Hanlan) 5, Fury 4

Joanna Martinez scored twice and Anna Arriola and Carla Ochoa each had goals for the Fury in the loss.

On defense, goalie Ashley Freeman tallied seven saves and Taylor Gray was credited with six saves. Anna Mascarelli also helped out, getting a stop in the second half.

In addition, Gray, Clarissa Medrano, Kristyna Valdez, and Georgia Arriola provided defensive support for the Fury.

Ochoa was praised for her all-out hustle including one that resulted into a goal. Ashley Tarango and Ashna Singh each had great goal attempts.
