Paul Richardson just joined the sales staff at Cabral Motors.

If the name sounds familiar it’s only because his family has owned Richardson Dodge-Chrysler in Oakdale for over three decades.

He moved over to the Manteca dealership located at 1145 W. Yosemite Ave. about a week ago, in turn, bringing along nearly 20 years of experience.

Richardson is thrilled with the arrival of the 2013 models, including the all-new Dodge Dart Limited.

“This is a great economic vehicle,” he said on Wednesday.

For starters, this fourth generation Dart Limited boast a best-in-class driving range of over 600 miles thanks in part to the standard 2.0-liter, four-cylinder  Tigershark engine with six-speed automatic transmission.

Translation: Fewer visits to the pump.

The Dart is also available with a 1.4-liter intercooled MultiAir Turbo with six-speed dual dry clutch transmission.

In any event, this Dodge is capable of getting close to 40 miles per gallon, highway.

Safety-wise, the Dart was designed with a reinforced frame coupled with 10 standard airbags. The projector and Smart Beam headlamps make this car visible to other drivers.

Some of the extras include the tire pressure monitoring system – the amount of pressure in each tire is displayed on the Electronic Vehicle Information Center – the rear cross path detection radar, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear-park assist system for the tight spaces.

The Dart has an interior worth a second look.

By that, the car comes with the leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise and audio control. The Nappa leather trim – available in black with diesel stitching, pearl white and light frost – accounts for the soft and smooth surface.

All models come available with the 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen media center featuring AM/FM/CD/MP3, with satellite radio, travel link and the Garmin navigation system being optional.

The Dart Limited also features 17-inch aluminum wheels, front passenger in-seat storage, and the six-way power driver’s seat with four-way power lumbar adjust, to name a few.
