Brian Calvillo waits to snap the ball to Teejay Gordon as Ricky Inderbitzin passes in motion.

East Union was back on the gridiron Saturday at Modesto Junior College as part of the MJC passing league tournament. The Lancers made short work of Turlock in the second game of the day. The first and second-team offenses both turned in a pair of touchdowns, while the first and second-team defenses held the Bulldogs to just one score. Starting quarterback Teejay Gordon was in control throughout, throwing an accurate, tight spiral. Gordon found both Ricky Inderbitzin and TJ Brown for touchdowns, the latter of which came on a perfectly executed 25-yard post. Inderbitzin looked just as good during his reps behind center, as the senior hooked up with Chase Agostini on a well-placed fade to the right corner. Wideout and towering target, Dylan Manasas, displayed sure hands and a nose for the football. On defense, EU’s hands were active, swatting away pass after pass and out-battling Turlock at every highest-point opportunity.  Playing corner on defense, Gordon skied to swat away back-to-back would-be touchdowns at one point.
