Jagaurs clip Falcons in one-sided shutout

The Manteca Jaguars took on the Atwater Falcons last Saturday in Cen-Cal Junior Football League’s NFC Division action at Atwater High.

The varsity Jaguars won handily, 39-0.

Seuseu Altofaituli scored twice while Eddie Santos, James Smith, and Brendon Arreola also found their way into the end zone.

On defense, Angel Ibanez, Tyler Fitch, and Santos had four tackles each. Cade Smith and Martin Estrada both recovered a fumble.


Pee Wee

Atwater 20, Jaguars 18

The Falcons went ahead on an 80-yard kickoff return.

Manteca was led by Domonic Rea, who 65 yards rushing and a touchdown to go with his 90 yards passing and a TD.

Miles Drew caught the TD pass from Rea. He also had 70 receiving yards.

Zelmar Vedder had 52 rushing yards and a TD.

On defense, Ryan Zimmermann led the way eight tackles. Leonardo Bonilla had seven stops.



Jaguars vs. Atwater

Jamari Hodge scored twice while picking up 75 yards on four carries to pace Manteca.

Zane Salgado also scored for the Jaguars. He had 76 yards on four pops.

In addition, Kainoa tallied 66 yards and a touchdown and Payton Graham had 31 yards and a score.



Junior varsity

Tracy 43, Delta Rebels 12

The Rebels experienced their first setback of the season, falling to the Bulldogs last Saturday.

Tracy returned an interception for a touchdown while holding Delta to its lowest point production of the year.

The Rebels did surprise the Bulldogs by scoring first thanks to a nice run by Michael Frisby, who also returned an interception for a TD.

Next up for the Rebels are cross-town rival Manteca Charger this weekend.
