TELLURIDE, Colo. (AP) — Allegiant Air says it plans to add nonstop service to the Telluride regional airport from Oakland, Calif., and Phoenix this winter.

The Coloradoan reports the Telluride Montrose Regional Airport Organization is providing some revenue guarantees to Allegiant for offering the flights. The flights between Telluride Montrose Regional Airport in southwest Colorado and Oakland International Airport and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dec. 15 to April 3.

The airline is cutting back in northern Colorado though. In August, the airline said it would suspend its service to the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport by mid-October.
