Serrano’s last-second TD lifts Jags over Los Banos

The Manteca Jaguars needed some last-minute heroics to get past the Los Banos Wildcats in last Saturday’s Cen-Cal Junior Football League’s NFC Division action.

Julian Serrano‘s 2-yard touchdown with two seconds left in the game gave the varsity Jaguars a 22-16 victory.

The winning score was setup by Kameron Beamon, who caught a pass from Gerson Gomez with 39 seconds left, rambling down to the Los Banos 2.

Seuseu Altofaituli also had a TD while picking up 48 yards on four carries.

On defense, Tydus Verhoeven sparked the Jags with six tackles and two sacks.



Rookies

Jaguars vs. Los Banos

Jamari Hodge scored twice while rushing for 160 yards on 10 carries to lead Manteca.

Zane Salgado picked up 68 yards on nine pops. He also scored a TD.

On defense, Jesus Gomez led the way with six tackles including three for losses and a forced fumble. Nine other players converged on tackles, forcing two more fumbles and a pair of recoveries.
