RIPON — An illegal u-turn ended with an arrest for drug possession.
Ripon Police officer Mike Perry was on patrol Tuesday at 10:35 p.m. near Jack Tone Road and Santos Avenue when he observed an orange Saturn perform an illegal u-turn in the intersection. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. The passenger in the vehicle was found to be on active parole.
A search of the vehicle was conducted. Approximately 70 grams of crystal methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia, a syringe, marijuana and over $1,000 in cash were discovered.
Scott Ray Casey, 24, of Hilmar was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on charges that included possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and a parole hold.
Victoria Carline White, 36, of Merced was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on charges that included possession of a controlled substance, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
