JB was a 2007 graduate of Escalon High, where he played football, wrestled and was on the track team. He was an active member in Van Allen 4-H, attended MJC, where he majored in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine. He joined the U.S. Navy in 2009 and became a field medic. He was stationed in Sacramento and then at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.

JB was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Goldye Nickens. He is survived by his parents Rodney and Cindi Kromann, sister Sarajane Kromann, grandmother Carol Borilla, Uncle Steve and Aunt Celesta Peeden, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Escalon Covenant Church, 1155 Escalon Ave. Reception to follow at the Escalon Sportsman’s Club on River Road.
