MERCED -  The Art Kamangar Center at the Merced Theatre presents a Johnny Cash Tribute Concert featuring James Garner on Friday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m.

A classy and authentic production, The Cash Tribute Show featuring James Garner, honors the life and music of the legendary 'Man in Black' - Johnny Cash.  With strong conviction and stunning accuracy, Garner and his band perform Cash's music, combining it with historical accounts and personal anecdotes about America's most beloved singing storyteller.  The show is a fun, toe-tapping trip down memory lane showcasing Cash's life and the sound of his longtime backing band, the Tennessee Three.
 
    

James Garner, a true Johnny Cash fan, recreates the “Cash Sound” while paying tribute to his boyhood hero.
  This crowd pleasing concert features well known favorites such as “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Ring of Fire.”  The solid country music show is sure to provide an enjoyable evening for concertgoers at the beautifully restored Merced Theatre.

Ticket prices start at $20 and can be purchased on the Theatre’s website www.mercedtheatre.org, or by calling the box office at (209) 381-0500.  The Merced Theatre box office is located at 307 W. Main St. between the Theatre and Coffee Bandits.  Box office hours are Monday through Friday 1 to 5 p.m.
