Entries are now being accepted for the 40th edition of the Manteca twilight Christmas parade taking place Saturday, Dec. 1.

Manteca was the first community in the northern San Joaquin Valley to stage a twilight Christmas parade.

The parade starts at 5 p.m. on Dec. 1. The route is along Yosemite Avenue from Library Park to Manteca High in downtown Manteca.

The theme this year is “Away in a Manger.” There is a $50 entry fee with the deadline set for Friday, Nov. 16. All entries must have Christmas lights.

For entry forms to the Manteca Chamber of Commerce sponsored event call the business organization at 823-6121.
