• The following are the basic rules related to storage sheds on residential property within the City of Manteca.

• Sheds of less than 120 square feet AND less than 8 feet in height may be located up to the interior side (not street side) or rear property line.

• Sheds of less than 120 square feet and greater than 8 feet in height must be at least 5 feet from a rear or interior side property line and 10 feet from a street-side property line.

• Sheds of 120 square feet or greater are required to have a building permit and must be at least 5 feet from a rear or interior side property line and 10 feet from a street side property line.

• All measurements between structures/property lines are to be taken between the closest points between the two.
