A 61-year-old Pinole man, Harold Blair, was taken to Doctors Hospital Manteca Thursday following a three vehicle crash shortly after 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Highway 120 Bypass just east of South Main Street.

Blair was driving his 2011 Ford westbound when two eastbound vehicles became involved, a 1995 Chevy driven by Henry Juarez, 49, of Tracy and a 2003 Ford driven by Richard Miller, 68, of Modesto.

CHP officers said that for an unknown reason the Pinole motorist made a left turn causing  his vehicle to leave the roadway, crossing the center median and driving into the eastbound lanes of the freeway.  His vehicle subsequently collided with the Ford which reportedly caused its driver to lose control and collide with the 1995 Chevy from Tracy.

Blair was transported to Doctors Hospital for medical reasons not related to the collision, officers said.  Traffic was delayed for some 90 minutes for roadway cleanup and vehicle removal from the scene.
