As a part of its Music Beyond Borders series, the Stockton Symphony presents the Brasil Guitar Duo on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Scottish Rite Center, 33 W. Alpine Avenue, Stockton (between Pacific Avenue and El Dorado Street).

Guests are invited to a no-host wine reception during intermission and after the concert.

The Brasil Guitar Duo is currently touring the United States and is scheduled to perform in San Francisco the evening prior to the Stockton concert. It graciously agreed to the Symphony’s request to add this additional performance.

Duo members João Luiz and Douglas Lora met in São Paulo as teenage guitar students and have been performing together for more than fifteen years, perfecting a sublime synchronicity and effortless performance style. It received stellar reviews internationally, performing in a wide variety of venues.

A 2006 winner of the Concert Artists Guild International Competition, the Brasil Guitar Duo was hailed by Classical Guitar magazine for its "maturity of musicianship and technical virtuosity." It is equally at home on a classical or a world-music series, and its innovative programming features a seamless blend of traditional and Brazilian works, resulting in a full global touring schedule and a growing catalogue of critically acclaimed recordings

Purchase tickets online at www.StocktonSymphony.org or call the Symphony office at (209) 951-0196. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students with an ID.
