The newly redesigned Kia Optima SX turbo is considered one of the best family sedans on the market.

So says www.egmCarTech.com, describing the 2013 model as “sleek and aggressive with sculpted elements giving it a muscular and sporty stance.”

The Optima SX parked outside the showroom of Kia Country, 1515 N. Main St., Manteca, comes fully loaded.

Available in the Limited or the Premium Touring packages, this Kia SXL sedan cames in an attractive snow white pearl exterior with panoramic sunroof and sporty 18-inch chrome wheels with red brake calipers.

Other extras included the LED daylight running lights, Nappa leather seats, electronic parking brakes, navigation system with Sirius traffic, and chrome accent rear spoiler.

The Optima SXL is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo gas direct injection four-cylinder engine with six-speed Sportmatic transmission and electric power steering.

Fuel efficiency rating is a 26, translating to about 22 miles per gallon city and 34 mpg highway.

Safety features for the Optima consist of dual front advanced airbags, front seat mounted airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, three-point seatbelts for all seating positions, lower anchors and tethers for children, anti-lock brake system,  traction control system, and hill assist control.

The interior boasts dual-zone automatic temperature control with rear vents, power windows and door locks, AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with Sirius satellite radio available, remote keyless entry, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel equipped with paddle shifters, and auto-dimmed mirror with home link and compass.

The Optima SXL is not only sleek and sporty, but makes for a smooth ride with a little boost – try 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds – and the ability to sit four or five people comfortably.

Call Kia Country at 209-239-6203 or log on to www.kiacountry.com  for more information on the new Optima.
