CHP seeking help identifying freeway shooter

STOCKTON — CHP officers are asking for public input in a Monday incident on southbound Highway 99 freeway where a motorist fired a semi-automatic hand gun into the windshield of the vehicle traveling directly behind him.

Patrolmen said a projectile struck the victim’s windshield directly in front of the steering wheel; however no one was injured in the shooting.

The suspect vehicle is described as a large, older baby blue, four door sedan covered with numerous gray paint spots on its body. The car was last seen exiting Highway 99 at Morada Lane.

Officer Brandon Rioux is requesting anyone with information about the vehicle or about the incident or about the responsible subject to call him at the Stockton CHP office at (209) 943-8600.
