Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

On Saturday, Oct. 27, downtown businesses opened up their doors for the safe Halloween event. Over one thousand children and many of their parents were dressed up in their costumes and ‘trick or treated’ in a safe and friendly environment at participating merchants in downtown Manteca. The children all had a wonderful time on the beautiful fall day.

The Manteca Interact Club, which sponsored the event, wishes to thank all of the participating merchants: Adrianan Attic, Tipton Stationary, Monogram Magic, Athens Burger, Elaine Ice Cream, 133 Club, Mr. Bigs BBQ, La Super Altena Market, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Iron Horse Deli, Leonard Photography, Mimosa, Coffee and Steak Time, Angles Hair Salon, Tammy Baby Shoppe, Tinnin’s A-1 Smog, Furniture Pro, Fantastic Collectibles, Nics Place, Fiesta Place, Marcelas Shoe Repair, Barber Shop, Silver Teapot.

Along with the following participants for creating booths and assisting Funtastic Gymnastics, Soroptimist, Sylvan Learning, Manteca Police Department, Manteca Rotary, Interact of Manteca, Manteca Optometric Eye Care Dr. Stellhorn, Chillaberries Frozen Yogurt/Mt. Mike’s Pizza. We hope you had a lot of fun with the ‘Trick or Treaters.’ We sure did. Thank you Bedquarters for the use of your parking lot. The Manteca SHARPS added an extra safe in Safe Halloween by providing crossing guards.

The Manteca Interact Club is a community service and leadership club comprised of students from East Union and Sierra High School plus. Manteca Unified Vocational Academy. We meet on each month from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at Sierra High’s cafeteria. Interact is sponsored by the Manteca Rotary Club and Manteca Morning Rotary Club.
