A 29-year-old Manteca man was shot multiple times shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday at a rave warehouse party in Oakdale.

Both the Manteca man and a 27-year-old Modesto male were transported to an Oakdale hospital.

A 17-year-old Oakdale teen was arrested at gunpoint in connection with the shooting, Oakdale Police reported. He was confirmed as being a Norteño gang member by police.

Officers had responded to a large fight call in the 1200 block of Post Road. As they were en route they learned that shots had been fired and two party-goers had been injured. The Manteca man was later airlifted to Doctors Medical Center from the Oakdale facility.

An Oakdale officer responding to the scene spotted a vehicle matching the description dispatched for the fleeing shooter. With the help of a CHP officer, a high-risk traffic stop was initiated with the teenager being taken into custody at gunpoint.

A .22 caliber pistol believed to have been the gun used in the shooting was recovered from inside the vehicle. The gun had been reported as stolen, according to another police agency.

Oakdale Police booked the 17-year-old into the Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on two counts of attempted murder, possession of stolen property as well as gang affiliation and for the use of a firearm. Both are gang enhancement charges. That means if he is convicted, additional mandatory time will be tacked onto his prison sentence.

Police are continuing their investigation and are contacting witnesses from the party. Officers have located a video of the actual incident.
