Lathrop Manteca Fire Department responded to a fire at Crescent Park Friday at 2:45 a.m. west of Lathrop High. A fire had been set to the playground equipment causing $1,000 in damage. Callers to the Crime Stoppers line do not have to leave a name and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for the arrest of the responsible parties.
