RIPON - During a late Wednesday night police burglary patrol, a Ripon man was found slumped over his steering wheel in the 400 block of Helen Drive.

When officers conducted a welfare check,  they determined Gabriel Campa, 38 was on searchable probation.

Officer Stephen Meece reportedly found the man to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

Campa was taken into custody and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

Earlier in the month another holiday burglary patrol netted another drug arrest on Van Dyken Way.  Citizens who see suspicious activity in their neighborhoods are urged to contact the Ripon Police Department.
