A half dozen vehicle burglaries were reported in a 24-hour period covering Wednesday night and into Thursday, according to Manteca police reports.
The first burglary occurred about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Daniels Street. The second was discovered and reported to police about 6 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Camilla Street. The next two were found by vehicle owners within 11 minutes of each other, shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday – the first in the 100 block of Northwoods Avenue and the second in the 1500 block of Churcher Drive.
Another vehicle was found burglarized at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of Morning Brook Drive. The last auto burglary occurred in the 300 block of West North Street about 3 p.m. that afternoon, according to the police log.
In another burglary Wednesday morning, Manteca Officer Josh Sweeten arrested 22-year-old Nathan Pierre Green for alleged first degree burglary and for receiving stolen property – both felonies – in addition to petty theft and prowling charges.
Green was transported to San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp with his bail set at $139,000. He is scheduled to appear in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court today at 1:30 p.m.
