Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

It’s been close to a month since the City of Manteca turned on the blinking red street lights at the intersection of South Main and Atherton Drive. It’s time to make the lights work and improve traffic flow.

The Bulletin reported the city wanted the traffic lights to blink so the drivers were use to them and use to stopping. Guess what? Drivers were already use to stopping at the four-way stop signs - for months and months.

We don’t need a month of blinking red lights that impede the flow of traffic. Thank you for the new Atherton Drive connection and for the lights. It’s time to finish this intersection.
