Nearly two-dozen members of the Manteca 4-H Club, accompanied by their project leader, spent their Christmas break in snow country.

This field-trip activity is just one of the many and varied educational activities and projects that 4-H Club members are involved in throughout the year.

“In what other youth organization can you learn how to raise, show and sell a pig at the county fair in the summer, learn to ski or snowboard in the winter, learn to shoot a bow and arrow and learn to sew a tote in between? None other than 4-H!” said Ski/Board Project Leader Nancy Sanguinetti Franzia who accompanied the youth to Dodge Ridge where the club members spent a day skiing and snowboarding on Jan. 4.

The 4-Hers who had enjoyed a day of fun and frolic at Dodge Ridge are Jenny Gomes, Randi Fowzer, Dan Cunial, Annie Cunial, Rebekah Campbell, Nancy Sanguinetti Franzia who was the Ski/Board project leader, club leader Kristy Bean, Kyle Bean, Janika Gomes, Ragan Fowzer, Emily Cunial, Cristina Franzia, Carly Cunial, Zoey Campbell, Brandon Bean, Katelin Bean, Jack Cunial, Stephanie Franzia, and Hunter Campbell.
