Troy Vick killed in Tracy crash

Sierra High School grad Troy Lane Vick, 32, was killed early Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash on Howard Road near Tracy Boulevard where his car had flipped over and ended up in a grape vineyard.

A family member said Vick had dropped a friend off at his home shortly before 3 a.m.  The wreckage was reportedly not spotted until about 5 a.m.   The scene of the crash was near Tracy’s Jefferson Elementary School.

Vick is the first grandson of Walker Vick and Phyllis Jamison, both of Manteca.  He had played baseball in high school under Coach Jack Thomson.

Vick had been assigned to a Special Forces detail with the Army while serving in Iraq.
