Three armed robbers held up the M&S Market shortly before midnight Sunday threatening the owner at gunpoint, according to police reports.
A Manteca Police spokesman said that while two men entered the store and demanded cash, a third man stood in the doorway of the small market at 224 Park Avenue across from Southside Park in the south central part of the community.
The proprietor was reported getting ready to close when the gunmen entered his store wearing dark clothing and hoodies. The amount of cash taken in the robbery was undetermined and there was no vehicle seen or heard near the store, police said, adding that no one was hurt in the robbery.
