NEWPORT BEACH (AP) — Court documents say the father of one of the first victims of former Los Angeles police officer Christopher Dorner suspected his daughter might have been shot when he heard initial reports of a double-murder on the news.

The search warrant affidavit filed by Irvine police was released Monday. It says retired police Capt. Randal Quan called the Irvine police watch commander on duty the night of Feb. 3 to tell him his daughter Monica Quan lived at the location and he could not reach her.

The 28-year-old Quan and her 27-year-old fiance, Keith Lawrence, were found shot dead in the parking structure of their Irvine condo.

A six-day manhunt for Dorner ended in a deadly gun battle with police.

Quan and Lawrence were memorialized at a service Sunday.
