The annual Gourmet Sampler hosted by the Manteca Historical Society and Friends of the Museum is on tap for Sunday, March 10, at the Manteca Senior Center.

Purveyors of food and fine beverages from around the region are setting up 26 booths to serve taste-tempting samples of their fair to the public attending the afternoon event.

The doors of the senior center venue are scheduled to open at 1 p.m. with the booths serving until 4 with several new participants adding to the affair.  Richard Benavides and Friends are going to provide the background music and there will also be a display of early Manteca photographs to add a touch of nostalgia.

Participating businesses are Angelano’s Restaurant, Billie Hills BBQ, Carneceria Rosita, China Express 4-Less, Chuck’s Place, Costco Wholesale, Delicato Family Vineyards, Edible Arrangements, Ernie’s Food and Spirits, Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant, Isadore’s Restaurant, Le Croissant Bakery & Café, Kitty’s Kitchen, Miner Mart Liquors, New China Restaurant, The Olive Pantry, Rancho San Miguel 4-Less, Rocky Mountain Chocolate, Safeway and Save Mart stores, Subway Sandwiches, Taqueria la Estrella, Webers’ BBQ & More, plus fresh hot popcorn, ice cream and Jesus Mountain Coffee – all served by museum volunteers.

The Museum Gift Shop will provide special items for sale and offering them as part of the large annual raffle bringing the afternoon to a close.

Tickets are advance sale only and are available at the Manteca Museum on West Yosemite Avenue and from its many members including German Glas Werks, Guido’s Pizza, Delta Bank or by call Phyllis Abram at 239-0744.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $7 for children under 12.
