Kid Zones opening at Veritas, Cowell schools

Manteca Parks & Recreation Department is launching a Kids Zone After School Program at Veritas Elementary School.


This program is for children enrolled in the afternoon kindergarten thru seventh grade. The program operates Monday through Friday from the dismissal of school to 6 p.m. An afternoon snack will be provided.


The Veritas After School Program will begin on Monday, Sept. 14.


The Manteca Parks and Recreation Department is also opening a Kiids Zone Before School Program at Joshua Cowell Elementary school. Currently Joshua Cowell offers the KinderZone and Afterschool program. The Before School Program will run from 6:30 a.m. until regular school begins.

Children can participate in the school breakfast program, cost is 75 cents a day (25 cents reduced cost if qualified).


The Joshua Cowell Before School Program will begin on Monday, September 14.


Fees are $115 monthly, $50 weekly, and $20 for drop-in.


The Kids Zone Program is designed to provide a safe and supervised location for children to participate in a variety of recreational activities. Arts and crafts, cooperative games, and indoor/outdoor group activities will be available. The Kids Zone Program promotes the social, physical and intellectual development of children.


The Kids Zone Program operates on school days only.
