Nick Sharp penciled in the fifth lowest score of the Lincoln High Invitational Monday, leading Ripon to a fourth-place finish at Stockton’s Brookside Country Club.

The Indians had five scorers finish in 90 and less strokes for a rock-solid 426. Christian Brothers was the team champion with a 376. St. Mary’s, paced by low medalist Anthony Madrid’s 3-under-par 69, took second with a 386, and Johansen was third with an even 400.

“After how we did last Thursday, to right the ship as we go into (Trans-Valley) league tomorrow (against Escalon) was a good thing,” Ripon coach Chris Musseman said, referencing the Indians’ losses to Bret Harte and Ripon Christian in a three-team match.

Sharpe was, well, sharp. He carded 75 to earn a medal, finishing behind St. Mary’s Madrid and Colin Reinschell (72), and Christian Brothers’ Andrej Bevins (71) and Brandon Munso (71).

Kyle Head placed 18th overall with an 84. Robby Figeroid (88), Jack Brierly (89) and Nathan Suender (90) also contributed for Ripon.
