Arthur Brogli is the special guest performer for the annual San Joaquin Valley Swiss Echoes annual spring concert and dance on Saturday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Swiss Hall, East Main Street and Manley Road.

Brogli is the eldest son of Swiss immigrants. As a young boy he and his brothers and sisters sang for various Swiss events up and down the West Coast. Not reading music he plays everything by 'ear' and composes some of his own songs and lyrics.

Some of his accomplishments include singing at the “Apple and Strawberry Festival” in Michigan, “Swiss Days” in Berne Indiana, and he playing an instrumental role in starting the first “Oktoberfest” in Snowbird Utah 40 years ago. He also sang for the Swiss Consulate San Francisco’s celebrating of Switzerland’s 700th anniversary.

Dancing follows the concert to the live tunes of the Ron Scheiber Orchestra.

The Swiss Club will serve a Rippli Dinner - smoked pork chops - before the concert from 6 to 7 p.m. There is limited seating for dinner. Tickets must be purchased by April 15. Dinner tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Admission to the concert and dance is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

For ticket information call Annabel Murata at 668-2760, Heidi Betschart at 531-2577, JoAnn Kaufmann at 951-6674, Maria Schallberger at 369-2546, or Margaret Higgins at 542-0642.
