LATHROP – Jacob Moon and Nate Gutierrez of the Lathrop Little League Brewers combined for a no-hitter during a 22-1 victory over the Phillies.

Moon and Gutierrez tallied 11 strikeouts and walked just two collectively. Moon held the Phillies hitless over three innings. He allowed no earned runs and recorded eight strikeouts.

The Brewers tacked on 15 runs in the first three innings. A solo home run by Moon, an RBI double by Gross and a two-run single by Ryan Zimmerman did some of the damage early.

Julian Scoz and Nico Ilardi both had RBI singles in the Brewers’ five-run second.

The Brewers, who added five more runs in the third, had six hitters combine for 13 hits and 13 RBIs. Dominic Day and Ryan Ward both scored runs as well.

Gutierrez added two more RBIs and struck out the side in the fourth to end the game early.
